Carrier Tracking URLs

Here are a few Tracking URLs as I have found them. Please e-mail me at henrik at or comment on this down below if you have any issues or you have any you want to share!

As you may notice, some carriers have multiple entries. This happens, when i find better URLs – Knowing that the carriers may retire URLs, I keep older (that may be newer) URLs just for reference. I try to keep my favorite URL as the first entry.

In eShip, the following parameters are used:

%1: Tracking No [External Tracking No.]

%2: Ship-To Country [Ship-To Country Code]

%3: Pickup Date

%4: Shipping Agent Account No.

Gateway said they shipped back my computer through E-ship and gave me a tracking number.  I found E-ship’s site but no link for tracking shipments. Can you help???

i got the same thing, how do i track my laptop??

    • June 1, 2011 at 12:42 am

Do you have the Tracking No.?

Eship is also the name of a 3PL, which Gateway apparently uses for managing some of their warehouse. I am not sure which carrier they use? but if you give me a tracking no. I may be able to find the carrier

i was able to take my “e-ship” tracking number an punch it in to Fedex and i got my shipping status. It is strange though i thought 3PLs used their own internal tracking numbers, and not ones supplied by the shipping companies themselves.

just try your tracking number on several sites, fedex, ups, dhl and see if it works.

I still think Gateway’s customer service has gone downhill over the last few years, but thats a whole different story.

I’m glad you got it figured out.

Obviously Gateway shouldn’t have told you it was shipped with E-Ship, but shipped with FedEx. in this case the 3PL wasn’t the carrier, just the warehouse management company, who then chose to ship it with a common carrier – FedEx in this case.

          Anyways – enjoy your Computer.

For the common carriers, is there something similar to track by reference number, and include my account number with the carrier?

  6. March 15, 2013 at 4:37 pm

    @Jennifer –

I have not seen tracking urls when using the reference numbers, and I wasn’t able to find any.

I cannot get any of the USPS url’s to work. I want it to carry up directly to a page where it shows the tracking without having to enter the tracking numbers.
    Any suggestions

I just tried this one, and it works just fine. You may have included the %1 in the link, which is where you put the tracking no. your tracking no here]

I guess what I am rying to say is that I don’t want to have to type in the tracking number. We have software that the tracking number is typed into and when I hit the track tab i want it to take me directly to a page wher eit automatically shows the tracking details.ike UPS and such. I don’t get to that detailed page with these URL’s or any others I have tried.

So you want to setup your software so that when the Track button, it replaces the %1 with the actual Tracking# and then opens the URL.

First of all, THANK YOU for collecting and sharing these URLs!! You have saved me hours of rummaging around individual shipper sites digging and scraping for these URLs! Your efforts are truly appreciated!

    On to my question…
I noticed only one comment re: tracking of multiple shipments in the same URL string which indicated that individual tracking numbers should be separated by commas. Is that convention the same across all of the URL strings listed above? I’m assuming not.

Would you consider adding to the list the conventions required when tracking multiple shipments in a single string? (At this point I am primarily needing UPS and FedEx, and DHL, but the others would be nice if we need them!

    All the best!

      Hi James –

I’m happy that my collection have helped you out.

Since I did this using a system where you track individual packages, I have never needed multi-package tracking myself, so it’s never really been on my radar. That said I would be happy to post those examples as well.
