Gateway said they shipped back my computer through E-ship and gave me a tracking number.  I found E-ship’s site but no link for tracking shipments. Can you help???

  • Drew

i got the same thing, how do i track my laptop??

Do you have the Tracking No.?

Eship is also the name of a 3PL, which Gateway apparently uses for managing some of their warehouse. I am not sure which carrier they use? but if you give me a tracking no. I may be able to find the carrier

  • Drew

i was able to take my “e-ship” tracking number an punch it in to Fedex and i got my shipping status. It is strange though i thought 3PLs used their own internal tracking numbers, and not ones supplied by the shipping companies themselves.

just try your tracking number on several sites, fedex, ups, dhl and see if it works.

I still think Gateway’s customer service has gone downhill over the last few years, but thats a whole different story.

    Thanks!

I’m glad you got it figured out.

Obviously Gateway shouldn’t have told you it was shipped with E-Ship, but shipped with FedEx. in this case the 3PL wasn’t the carrier, just the warehouse management company, who then chose to ship it with a common carrier – FedEx in this case.

    Anyways – enjoy your Computer.
